What does your way of dressing reflect?

There are many things that can mark the life of a human being, one of these is words. In life we have heard how many people judge us by our way of being, dressing, speaking or simply by our physical appearance, because, in our clothing we can externalize in a certain way that this has affected us, either because we neglect our way of dressing or because we are ostentatious, but God speaks to us in his word:

Romans 12:3 “I say, therefore, by the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think of himself soberly, according to the measure of faith that God distributed to each one”

Give importance to your personal care

Our Lord commands us to be humble, this means that we must recognize our defects, but it is also important to take into account the attributes we have, this does not make us haughty, however, we must keep it to ourselves, our body is our rational worship and we must give importance to our image and personal care, with the necessary measure, not living for the body but respecting and honoring it as our creator commands.

You are an ambassador of Christ

My advice to you is that you try to shine wherever you are, first of all, with your testimony, and of course with your image, looking good and neat is vital to also reach those who do not know Jesus, and very important with your personal cleanliness, you do not want to evangelize with bad breath, or dirty, it would bring a bad image not only for you, but also for your congregation and you would be representing the kingdom of heaven in a bad way.

Remember to consider your body, what suits you and what doesn’t suit you, there are clothes that can be very provocative or can make you a few years older, and what you want is for your appearance to be pleasant, ask someone from confidence what things look good on you, it is always good to hear another opinion, there are people who appreciate you and care about you, so listen to them.

Guard your heart from all hurtful words

It is very difficult to please everyone, we are in a malicious world, full of prejudices, and the church is no exception, in your walk with Christ you will always hear criticism, so take care of your heart remember that this is part of the struggles that we must face in this life, do not allow that to steal your peace, or fill you with evil against the world or against the congregation, because as we see as an example in apocalypse, no church mentioned was perfect and still the perfect congregation does not exist.

To conclude, remember that Christ does not give us a burden that we cannot carry, and that He has called us to a life in freedom, therefore, release yourself into the hands of the Lord and let him guide your day to day, take the control of the smallest thing in your life.
